First Method
- Cut a healthy poinsettia stem that has flowers and leaves.
- Cut each leaf in half.
- Place the stem in a vase of water, making sure it is always covered.
- Place the vase in a well-lit place inside the house, avoiding direct sunlight.
- Wait about two months for it to take root.
Second Method
- Follow the steps of the previous method.
- Fill a pot with soil and plant the stem in it, pressing lightly to fix it.
- Water it regularly without letting the water stagnate.
- Wait approximately two months until new leaves begin to grow.
Additional Poinsettia Care Tips:
- Light and temperature: Avoid direct sunlight and protect the plant from extreme cold.
- Watering: Place the pot on a saucer and water it when the soil is dry, letting it absorb water for about 15 minutes.
- Soil: Use good quality soil with perlite and fertilize with a potassium-rich fertilizer every two weeks.
