Finding dry, rotting plants is certainly one of the worst things that can happen, because it means having to say goodbye to the seedling.
After so many months of sacrifices and probably even after spending a lot of money, there is nothing worse. Among all the plants that are easily damaged, because they need special care, is the orchid.
To afflict it are the roots that out of nowhere can also be found rotten despite being careful to water the plant correctly, without overdoing it.
How to care for the orchid?
Orchids, for example, are beautiful plants that give joy but require excellent ventilation, otherwise they die of suffocation. They’re supposed to grow on trees, so if you treat them like any other houseplant, suddenly the leaves turn yellow, the roots rot, and the flowers fall off. Be careful because it cannot happen only with this type of plant, but with all of them.
Fortunately, even if the roots are partially or completely dead, there are probabilities that allow us to wait and think that I will be able to save the plant. Just follow the special instructions to bring it back to life in a simple and quick way.
How to tell if the plant is dry, dead, or nearly dead by looking at its leaves
If the leaves are yellow, then the seedling probably received too little water or the soil was left moist for a long time. Standing water causes the root to rot and thus the plant suddenly dies. If, on the other hand, the leaves are wrinkled, it means that it has not received enough water, so it has suffered dehydration.

In general, a plant rots because it gets too wet, so the roots do not have adequate time to dry, because the waterings are close to each other. A second hypothesis may simply be that the water stagnates in the saucer, also favoring the proliferation of infections by fungi or other parasites.
How to Save the Nearly Dead Plant
To save the plant, it must be flared, removing all the substrate that covers the roots and then removing the rotten ones and leaving only the healthy ones. Healthy leaves are green or white, while rotting or dried leaves are brown or black.

Then the root is sterilized with 3% hydrogen peroxide, the seedling is buried in a new pot with the dry substrate and each leaf is moistened with kitchen paper, to hydrate it. Once this is done, you should wait at least two or three days to water, in this way the plant should return to practically perfect sanitary conditions, as if it had just been purchased.
The second method, certainly effective, ready to save one or more lives
A second method involves cutting off the dry twigs, then removing all the dry leaves, leaving only the root out, putting some dry cement in a vase obviously, a tablespoon is enough. To this must be added half a liter of water, then the mixture is stirred, a little of this water is poured into a fairly large container, in which the roots must be submerged.

At this point they are left like this for 30 minutes. Then the root is left to dry for an hour, placed in a vase and covered with soil. After a week, water is poured into another container, then an aloe vera leaf is cut and placed in the water, trying to release the aloe gel that is miraculous in any context.
The water is then used to water the plant, which is covered and left covered as if it were inside a greenhouse. It is discovered after a maximum of 3 weeks, to great surprise the seedling will have created new leaves and therefore will have come back to life.
Once this result has been achieved, it is advisable to follow some guidelines that allow you to take care of this life in the best possible way, without exaggerating with water or forgetting to water it when required. Each seedling is different from the others, there are those that need a lot of water and those that survive even with little. So if you are not well informed, it is advisable to ask the appropriate questions before buying any type of plant.
