Orange peels: Never throw away again, put in a glass and add vinegar

If you’re looking for an all-natural cleanser, maybe DIY, we’ll show you one that’s completely homemade and super affordable!

Vitamin C is essential for the health of our immune system and especially in winter you should try to get enough of it.

Citrus fruits are the ideal and most practical solution. Freshly squeezed orange juice, for example, is very popular. Especially to bring the valuable vitamins it contains to children.

They are also commonly used in the kitchen, but there are many citrus fruits. Not only to eat them, but also as an ingredient in many recipes. Lemon is used a lot.

And the bowls? Usually, they are discarded. And that’s a mistake.

The cleaner that we are about to show you is made from citrus peels.

Natural household cleaner, how to make it

What do you need?

  • 3 oranges (degreaser);
  • 1 lemon (antibacterial and anti-unpleasant odours);
  • white wine vinegar (excellent detergent, disinfectant and limescale remover);
  • 1 glass;
  • 1 spray bottle.

Squeeze the oranges and lemon and prepare a nice juice. Save the peels.

You will notice that citrus residues remain in them. Here is the basis for your household cleaner!

Take a glass and cut all the shells into small pieces. Place them in the jar, squeeze them if necessary, and pour the vinegar over them as much as you need to cover the bowls up to the rim of the jar itself.

Close the jar and store it away from light sources for 2 weeks. This time is used to macerate the citrus peels well, releasing the elements useful for the production of the detergent.

After 2 weeks, filter everything and discard the peels. Fill the spray bottle with the liquid of vinegar and citrus extracts and use it on any surfaces you want to clean, including steel parts.

The result will amaze you and also leave you with a pleasant scent!

Of course, you can use all citrus fruits. Not only lemon and orange, but also, for example, tangerines and grapefruits.

Have fun cleaning!
