Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or even a wedding, we love to give and receive flowers. While this thoughtfulness is much appreciated, the flowers often end up wilting and the bouquets often end up in the trash. To extend the life of a rose, learn how to grow one and grow it in a potato.

Grow a rose in a potato.

To regenerate the roots of your roses and give them a second life, potatoes offer an ideal base.

You can replant a rose bush from a single stem.

This is what you need: 

• Pink
• a big potato
• a plastic bottle
• a flower pot
• From the earth

Stage 1 : 

Choose the rose you want to plant and then remove the leaves and thorns with pruning shears. Cut the stem at a 45° angle and about 4 cm below the flower.

2nd step: 

Take the potato and make a hole with a knife in the middle of this tuber. The hole should be the size of the rod.

Step 3: 

Fill the bottom of the pot with 6 to 8 centimeters of soil, then place the potato in it and cover it with soil. Cut the bottom off the plastic bottle and place it around the rose.

Climbing roses, bush roses, rambling roses, ascending roses, miniature roses or even ground cover roses… Some rose varieties are particularly popular with nurserymen. Pink flowers bring a breath of fresh air and a boost of positivity to a home. Here are the   commonly used methods   for planting roses:

On the floor

To plant a rose bush in a pot, you must first determine the location of this shrub. This plant needs light and grows in full sun in the garden. In this regard, it should be planted outside of frost periods. Start by soaking the root ball of the rose bush and then dig a 50 centimeter hole. Then, mix the garden soil and potting soil and check the grafting point so you can place your rose bush. Tamp the mixture and fill the hole. Remember to water your rose bush regularly so that it blooms faster.

Flowerpot 

To plant a rose bush in a pot, start by choosing a pot that is at least 50 centimetres deep. Make sure the pot has a hole in the bottom for drainage. Place clay pebbles and garden felt in the bottom of the pot to secure the potting soil in the pot. Do not push down on the grafting point when installing your rose bush. The plant needs regular watering to grow beautiful flowers. At the beginning of flowering, add fertilizer to stimulate plant growth. Also consider mulching to preserve moisture and control weeds that may grow around the plant. Compost will need to be replenished each year for good crop recovery.
