Cleaning  the bathroom  is one of the most hated and complicated household chores, as  limescale and mold are not easy to remove.  Try these   effective tricks to effortlessly remove black mold around the toilet  without using harsh chemicals.

Before being cleaned,  surfaces in a typical bathroom could have at least 2 types of bacteria, but in some areas, up to 8  , with some harmless and others harmful, such as  Salmonella and E. Coli.

In the case of the toilet,  micrococci, staphylococci, streptococci, but also mold can be found, hence  the recommendation to clean the bathroom regularly.

Although it is more common  to find mould in the shower or in the corners of the bathroom,  the toilet is not spared, due to humidity, heat and, above all, because it is a difficult area to clean. Fortunately,  removing mould around the toilet is not impossible.  Let’s see how to do it!

This duo is almost invincible against bacteria, dirt and even mold.  Vinegar has been credited with disinfectant capabilities,  while  baking soda is a powerful detergent, antifungal and antimicrobial  . To remove mold around the toilet, do the following:

  1. Pour  one cup of vinegar into the toilet bowl  and another cup into the flush tank.
  2. Sprinkle baking soda on the edges around the bowl (inside, outside and at the base of the toilet). Leave for an hour.
  3. Open the lid and scrub the inside with the brush, as well as the entire surface, edges and base.
  4. Wait another 15 minutes  and flush the toilet. Wipe all surfaces with a cloth dampened with vinegar to clean the surface.
  5. To keep your toilet clean and mold-free, add 1 cup of vinegar to the tank 2 or 3 times a week and then flush the toilet. Wipe the base with a cloth dampened with vinegar every month and then rinse.

Tea tree oil (tea tree oil)

In addition to these 2 ingredients, it is also possible to use  tea tree oil,  which is an essential oil obtained by steaming the leaves of the Australian tea tree. This oil has several health benefits, but can also be used for cleaning.

In cleaning it is also  very effective in eliminating mold (  it is one of the most powerful natural anti-molds)  , the only thing you need is:

  1. Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil in a spray bottle with water (about 500 ml).   Spray on the mold and the entire surface of the toilet bowl.
  2. Leave it to act for 5 to 10 minutes  and scrub the inside of the toilet with the brush, and the outside with a damp cloth.

Hydrogen peroxide

Another  detergent, stain remover and antimicrobial ingredient  is  hydrogen peroxide.   Using it is very simple. You will need:

  1. Spray the moldy areas  with hydrogen peroxide and leave it for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Wipe with a damp cloth and rinse with water.
