INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 <>/<> cups flour
  • 3/4 cup Hershey’s cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk Can be plant-based, almond-shaped, or soy milk
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup boiling water

STEP-BY-STEP PREPARATION

  • Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Add the boiling water (the batter will be quite runny).
  • Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking dish.
  • Bake at 350°F. for 50-55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
