INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 <>/<> cups flour
- 3/4 cup Hershey’s cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk Can be plant-based, almond-shaped, or soy milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup boiling water
STEP-BY-STEP PREPARATION
- Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Add the boiling water (the batter will be quite runny).
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking dish.
- Bake at 350°F. for 50-55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
