Bananas are the richest source of potassium and should therefore be consumed regularly. Especially in families with small children. But banana peels can be no less useful than the fruit itself. See for yourself.
The shell is a natural filter
Banana peels absorb lead, copper and nickel from water. Wash it and then put it in a container with water. After 2-3 hours, the liquid will no longer contain heavy metals.

Give your skin shine
Over time, shoes or leather accessories become dull and lose their natural shine. To remedy this, simply clean the surface of the leather with a soft part of the shell and the object will shine like new again!
Product with anti-aging effect
The peeling layer contains antioxidants that rejuvenate the face, smooth wrinkles, and fruit acids brighten the skin. You can wipe your face with the inside of the peeling, but it is more convenient to remove the soft layer with a spoon and apply the pasty mass to the skin. After 20 minutes, wash with warm water. Avoid the eye area.

Gentle teeth whitening
The soft part of the peel contains fruit acids that can whiten tooth enamel by 1-2 shades. If your toothpaste contains ingredients like lauryl sulfate or PEG, rubbing your teeth with a piece of banana peel will protect your enamel from harmful chemicals. Leave the banana paste on your teeth for 10 minutes, then rinse your mouth.
Polishing wooden furniture
To add shine and gloss to wooden furniture, clean the surface with a banana peel and then polish with a microfiber cloth.
From harmful insects
Cut the banana peel in half and put it in the soil (2-5 cm deep around the plant). This simple measure will drive away pests, especially aphids. In addition, the peel is rich in potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen. This feeding will be very popular with cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplants, potatoes, pumpkins, roses and begonias.
Remove ink from skin
The peeling contains oils that weaken the bond of the color pigment to the skin. The banana peel absorbs the ink like a sponge.
As you can see, you can’t just slide around on a banana peel like in the cartoon. Before you throw it in the trash, you should try the above methods in practice at least once.
