It happens very often that ingredients are used in home cleaners that we would never think of, for purposes far from their daily use. This is the case of using a dishwasher tablet in the shower or bathtub. Let’s see together why it is a technique that we can safely adopt for cleaning.

There are now many types of tablets (or tablets) for the dishwasher, an appliance that can be found in many people’s homes today.

Dishwasher tablets are a  special product used to clean and disinfect dishes, cutlery and other kitchen utensils . They are made of a mixture of chemicals that work together to eliminate food residue, grease and stains left behind by liquids. They come in different shapes and sizes, but  most are water-soluble and are  sold in single packs or in boxes of several tablets.

Their use is very simple, it is necessary to place them in the compartment provided for this purpose, which is usually located in the door of the dishwasher. After inserting the tablet, simply close the door and start the wash cycle.

The reason why tablets are so widely used is that in addition to serving as a cleaning agent, they  are also useful for disinfecting kitchen utensils , as they contain antibacterial substances that eliminate germs and bacteria on surfaces. Why  put a dishwasher tablet under the shower?

As we have already mentioned, dishwasher tablets are  an excellent ally in eliminating germs and bacteria due to their disinfectant properties . Why not use them in another place where germs and bacteria proliferate more?

Putting a dishwasher tablet in the shower or bathtub will help you clean and disinfect surfaces better . To perform this operation in the shower it is necessary that the shower tray has raised edges and is not flush with the floor because the drain must be closed and some water may accumulate. Then perform this operation, closing the  shower drain and raising the water level , possibly hot, by a few centimeters. Then throw a dishwasher tablet into the water and wait for it to dissolve completely. Leave it to act for about fifteen minutes,  then take a soft sponge and start cleaning the shower tray .

You will find that  no scrubbing is required as all residue has been softened by the action of the tablet.

Once you have cleaned the entire shower tray,  remove the plug from the drain and let the water drain out . Perform a final rinse with the shower to make sure you have eliminated all residue. The procedure for this method is the same, but if you have a very large tank, the advice to avoid waste and consumption is not to fill it completely, but to add water up to half and then clean a little more thoroughly.

But is this whole process just to disinfect the shower as best as possible? Of course not. In fact,  thanks to their composition, dishwasher tablets are very useful for whitening the yellowed shower tray or bathtub . In just a few minutes you will have a disinfected and bleached bathroom.
