In all homes, unpleasant odors can pass from the bathroom, either from the toilet or from the drain pipes. This is a problem that has nothing to do with cleaning the environment, as it can also occur after an intense cleaning session. To solve it, however, there is a really simple and quick trick, based on the use of a simple  bay leaf  .

Eliminating  bad odors from the bathroom  as soon as possible is essential to prevent them from spreading quickly throughout the rest of the house. But before resorting to the classic products available on the market and which often contain toxic substances, it is absolutely necessary that you know this home remedy.

Eliminate bad odors with a bay leaf

This simple trick requires the use of only two ingredients, which you can find very easily:  some bay leaves and a match  . So let’s see how to use them to chase away all the bad odors present in your bathroom.

The first thing to do is take one bay leaf at a time and with a lit match, lightly burn its tip so that it begins to give off a slight trail of smoke. Then place it  in correspondence with the drain hole of the sink or toilet, so that the aroma emanating from the leaf is directed inside.

By doing so, the bad odors coming from the pipes will be counteracted by the intense smell of the bay leaf, which will be able to  completely neutralize them  in a short time. At the end of the process, do not throw the remains of the burned leaves down the drain, but in the trash.

If unpleasant odors persist, you can  repeat the procedure  a second time. Or it could be a more serious problem that requires specialized attention.
