Sweat stains on the mattress, the solution is not baking soda: you can only remove them like this

Stains on mattresses can be a real scourge in the home, especially if they cannot be eradicated. So what is the perfect solution to do it without too much effort? Here’s the ingredient for you, and it’s not just baking soda.

Sweat stains on the mattress

During  the summer season we sweat a lot,  we know that well, especially this year when temperatures have been really high all over the world. Now that we have returned to normal, it is also time for  autumn cleaning at home,  to find the freshness that left us before the endless heat.

In particular, it is necessary  to refresh the sheets and mattresses,  since they are the ones that attract the most microbes and dirt and where, unfortunately,  ugly stains are created  and, above all, difficult to remove.

Mattress stains, how do you remove them? Here is the most effective natural remedy.

Bed in summer is not always relaxing, especially because during the night you sweat, you feel hot and you don’t rest very well.

In addition,  the sweat that emanates from our body dirtyes the sheets  and, in some cases, even  the mattress.  That is why they sometimes create halos that are horrible to see and also difficult to remove. So what to do in these extreme cases?

First, you need to freshen the beds, cleaning both the sheets and the mattresses. For sheets, a thorough wash in the washing machine will be enough and you will see that the stains and bacteria will disappear. But what about stains on mattresses?

Before you panic, don’t worry, there are several natural remedies to remove stains, one of which is  dish soap.

Well yes, our ally in the kitchen will also be a trusted friend to  remove stains from the mattresses in your home  , but not directly on the stain but diluted in water. Once the mixture is prepared, gently rub the stain with a cloth until the halo disappears.

This method is not only effective and eliminates those unpleasant stains that form due to sweat, but it is also safe to not damage our mattress.

Other natural remedies to clean the mattress

In the previous paragraph we suggested the method that in our opinion is most effective against stains on the mattress, but in reality there are many other interesting methods that you can evaluate.

The first is baking soda  , a great classic to try to remove stains from household items. We need to pour two handfuls over the halo that we see, letting it act for at least 10 minutes. After that, dust and wipe with a microfiber cloth, perhaps slightly damp.

An alternative to baking soda can be  talcum powder,  which is capable of absorbing grease from stains and excess sebum that is deposited on mattresses due to sweat.

It is also very fragrant, so much so that it is used for the bathroom toilet: therefore, it will not only clean, but also perfume the mattress.

Even  vinegar can help with stains  : in fact, its cleaning properties will help clean and freshen mattresses at home, especially very dirty ones. Pour vinegar into a bucket of water and then soak a cloth to use on the affected areas.

If these ingredients alone are not enough, create a good  mixture of vinegar, coarse salt and baking soda  : this mixture will be a real bomb against sweat stains, not only on mattresses but also on clothes. Try to believe, I’m sure you won’t regret it!
