Its  original name was Crassula ovata  , but it is commonly known as  the jade tree  , a plant  belonging to the Crassulaceae family, native to southern Africa  . It was previously classified as Cotyledon ovata, but since 1917, thanks to  George Clardige  , the species has changed its name.

The Crassula plant   does not require particular care and maintenance;  to grow it, simply place it in a very sunny place, where the temperatures are not very low. In fact, its structure  does not resist temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius .
