In the case of the orchid specifically,  propagation can be done using the same flower twigs.  All you need is a  plastic bottle  and some  nutrient-enriched soil  that can come from  potato or banana skins .

Cut the stem  with the help of a  clean and disinfected cutter , then  place the piece inside the bottle filled with soil  (alternatively, you can use a glass jar). Pour water and  rub the stem with a cotton ball  to remove any bacteria. With  candle wax  we seal the ends and finally cover everything with  plastic wrap . With a  toothpick make  small holes in the plastic.

The bottle should be placed in a  bright and humid place at a temperature not lower than 25 ° C.  Water  and mist  every day. The plant will take about  4 months to germinate and the same operation can be repeated whenever desired.

But be careful: the seedling  should never be exposed to direct sunlight.  It is true that the orchid wants to live in very bright places, but it does not tolerate the sun’s rays,  which would burn its flowers and leaves.
