Cookies are one such food preparation that instantly takes us back to the days of our childhood! With changing food trends and the easy availability of ready-to-eat foods, cookie dough has become more of a regular food that we can easily find in a supermarket.
Although the store brought the cookie dough is a very fine product, we associate the cookies made with traditional cookie dough with the days of our childhood and with the endless memories it brings back with each bite… This shortbread cookie recipe is for those who wish to recreate the same experience in their home and give their loved ones a string to put together beautiful memories.
Here is a very simple recipe for the classic shortbread cookie dough, with which you can indulge yourself depending on the taste preferences of the members of your family. Then, you can add a few chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the dough, to create a chocolate or hazelnut version of the classic recipe. Alternatively, you can also flavor it a little with star fruit seeds, cardamom powder, ground cinnamon, or cumin seeds to get a spicy variation of shortbread cookies.
You can also decorate the cookies with melted chocolate, sugar-coated colored candies, thick powdered sugar paste and give them to your loved ones as well… Just be sure to cool the cookies thoroughly before pouring in the decorating dough to create a beautiful gift.
Based on the recent stomping of healthy cooking, you can also reduce the amount of butter to around 70g, but it will make the final version firmer and retain its molded shape much better by giving a less thin final version of your favorite shortbread cookies!
