This is the nurseryman’s secret: insert a rose stem into the aloe vera. Here’s what you need and how to do it, in no time you’ll have tons of roses.

The rose is a plant that belongs to the Rosaceae family. It includes up to 250 different species and is generally an erect shrub, although it can also develop into smaller branches.  Today we are going to see the secret of nurserymen who insert the rose stem inside the aloe vera for a very specific reason.

Maintaining rose bushes is not always easy, but they are a wonderful addition to the garden  . If you want, you can plant it using this method and never buy a new rose bush. In fact, all you need to do is already have a plant and reproduce another one or take a cutting from someone who has a rose bush.

The first thing to do is therefore to reproduce a cut. But before seeing how to do it, you need to identify the right period, as this is a fundamental step for the success of the operation.  The right month to do this is August  , but obviously you can also do it around July or September. Reproducing a rose bush means taking a cutting from the plant and planting it in fertile soil  . But now let’s see the secret method used by nurserymen who speed up this process by first inserting the rose stem into the aloe vera leaf, see how to do it, all the steps.

First you need to get a cutting and choose the right branch to get it  . It is important to choose a healthy, vigorous branch that is at least 5 mm in diameter. Make sure it has no defects, is completely green and has nodes where the leaves sprout. It must be a young branch grown last year.

Once you have identified the branch, you can cut about 20 centimeters and thus obtain the rose cutting. The cut must be perpendicular to the branch and 1cm below the leaf node.  Now it’s time to go and use the aloe vera leaf, you’ll need one measuring about 4 or 5 centimeters.

Before  inserting the rose stem into the wet part of the aloe vera,  make sure it is dense enough to contain the cutting. Now just  plant the rose inside a vase with a little soil  . All you need to do is fill the pot with expanded clay at the bottom and soil.

Then you will have to make a hole in which you will insert the rose stem inserted inside the aloe vera leaf. Cover with soil and water. You should do it at least twice a day the first few times using a little water. The soil should not be too dry nor too wet.

With a little patience, the stem will turn into a beautiful rose bush.  If the pot is too small, buy a larger one or plant the plant in your garden. Remember that it is a plant that is not suitable for placing in shady places.
