How to Birth and Grow a Banana Tree from Fruit Without Spending Money!

It has probably never occurred to you, but it is possible to take a banana and from there grow the plant from which it was born. The process is quite simple, but requires a lot of attention to be successful.

The first thing to do is to choose the most suitable banana for the purpose, which is not one of the beautiful and yellow ones, but rather brownish ones: it must have ripe seeds inside, which are then taken and planted according to the instructions you read. below and you can also see it practically applied in the video below.

It is necessary to use all the seeds found inside the banana, this is because not all of them will be able to germinate and give life to a new seedling. Then, it is necessary to choose the most suitable soil to guarantee that all the most favorable conditions are in place for the birth and growth of banana plants. The main characteristic it must have is that it is very draining: from this point of view, peat is almost perfect.

To create an environment conducive to germination, it is also necessary to use a simple and banal kitchen film, with which we will wrap the vase with the seeds, thus maintaining the perfect microclimate inside so that everything develops in the times indicated in the video.

When about four months have passed since the seedling was born, you will begin to see more leaves appear, which will soon become the plant you want.

Later, when approximately a year has passed, the banana plant will have reached a height of just over 10 centimeters and the leaves will gradually become larger and more robust. You see, this process can be quite spectacular. At this point, the new plant will only need to be watered properly and well cared for and pampered.

It must be said that at least three years will have to pass before you plant it in free land. During growth there will be periods in which only the leaves will be the protagonists, while in others the stem will take precedence.

Finally, it may happen that the cuttings grow together with the mother plant, which we could call daughters for convenience. This can only be separated from the mother plant when they have taken root.
