🐝💛 This honeybee will never fly again… and the reason should be a warning to us all. 🌍

️⃣ What you see here is a honeybee that died while collecting pollen from dandelions – her legs are still full of bright orange pollen, but her tongue is extended, a sign of poisoning.

️⃣ Dandelions are the very first food for bees in spring. When nothing else blooms, they are the lifeline that keeps colonies alive.

️⃣ Sadly, many people spray weed killers at this time of year, destroying what nature provides as food. What we call “weeds” are survival for pollinators.

️⃣ Without these early flowers, bees starve. And when bees starve, so do we – because no bees means no pollination, no crops, no food.

️⃣ In this region, weeds, wildflowers, and fruit trees are the only food sources for bees until mid-June. There are far more weeds than fruit trees, so they are essential.

️⃣ Please, do not spray for weeds until you see the blackberries blooming. That is the signal that other food sources are available for bees.

️⃣ Every bee lost to chemicals is one less pollinator for apples, strawberries, cucumbers, sunflowers – the foods we rely on every single day.

️⃣ This single image is a reminder: nature’s balance is fragile. Protecting bees means protecting ourselves, our children, and our future. 👇
