ingredients
100 g butter (room temperature)
1 egg
95 g sugar
zest of 1 orange organic
40 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 g baking powder< /span>approximately 30 g of sugarapproximately 20 g of icing sugarfor kneading
approximately 260 g of flour
preparation
1. First mix the orange zest and sugar, add the softened butter and mix.
2. Then add the orange juice, egg and salt and mix again.
Then gradually add the flour and baking powder and mix until a very sticky dough forms. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 1 hour.
3. It is better to use a little less flour initially so that the dough does not become too hard and add more if necessary. (Also note tips and tricks for baking these orange chip cookies at the top of the post.)
4. Now form the dough into balls (the size of a walnut), roll them first in the sugar, then in the icing sugar and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper, leaving enough space between them.
5. Finally, cook the balls in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes. (During cooking the balls turn into biscuits).
