Did you know that your brain suffers when you eat an unhealthy breakfast (or don’t have time for it at all), when you drive a car and talk on the phone at the same time, when you smoke, drink, and are constantly exposed to stress?
“Your brain needs healthy, low-fat foods.
You don’t have to give up sweets – but of course it depends on what the sweets are.
“The brain loves chocolate, it needs water, but most of all it loves a smile,” says Alexandru Vlad Ciurea , a neurosurgeon for over 50 years.
Professor and experienced doctor, director of an emergency hospital.
The neurosurgeon has performed almost 23,000 brain surgeries!!
His youngest patient was only 2 days old. He knows better than anyone that the brain is sick because of us…
“If you’re on a tablet/phone/TV every day – and so on, day after day, don’t expect your brain to thank you for it.”
Now people communicate mainly through social networks, and this is an unforgivable mistake!
We are designed to live in groups, not in isolation.”
The first steps towards a healthy brain are very simple and accessible to everyone.
To do them, you get up early, open the window, take a deep breath, do at least 2 short basic exercises, and drink two glasses of room temperature water.
“In the morning we should get up as early as possible, open the windows and breathe fresh air. And don’t forget two glasses of water.”
The first will start the work of the entire digestive tract.
“The second one moves the whole organism. Simply put, it helps us wake up,” says the neurosurgeon.
During sleep, the brain is awake and working hard to maintain the internal organs.
But it does something else important. If a person goes to sleep with a difficult question in his head and doesn’t know how to solve it, the next morning he will have the answer.
“The next day you will find a solution. So the brain has established a connection between thought, judgment, memory and in the morning it will give you an idea.”
So forget about sleepless nights, they won’t help, but sleep will! says Professor Ciurea.
The brain doesn’t like fat, tobacco, and alcohol, but it does love dark chocolate.
Smoking has the same negative effect on the brain as it does on the heart.
And your breakfast should be calm and slow. Don’t eat breakfast in a hurry or on the go.
“You should eat breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying every bite.”
No worries, no noise, no problems and no cigarette breaks.
The more you relax, the more your brain will experience pleasure.
“In the morning you need energy and trace elements so that the body can perform its functions effectively throughout the day. It is very important!” emphasizes the professor.
The brain doesn’t like fat and meat.
The neurosurgeon also says that if you already eat meat and can’t give it up, at least buy the higher quality one.
“The brain doesn’t use meat. But in small amounts, meat sustains the body.”
Low-calorie meat is best. Turkey and fish are the healthiest things you can give your body.
The brain doesn’t like fat, it doesn’t like salt.
Once or twice a year after the holidays won’t hurt.
But without exaggerating, you can’t eat fat every day without harming your brain and other organs, the doctor says.
What about sweets?
Not all of them are healthy, especially if they are high in sugar.
“Dark natural chocolate, hot natural cocoa, honey is what the brain loves the most,” explains the neurosurgeon.
- Dinner should be balanced. You can’t fill your stomach – learn to know when to stop before you feel full.
Stick to plain water, even fruit juices occasionally, not to mention sodas.
The brain has two points of maximum activity: between 10:00-12:00 and 16:00-18:00. If it gets tired, you can give it coffee (but drink it slowly).”
The doctor says that the brain’s best friend is a simple smile, accessible to all people.
That is why it is very important to get rid of sadness, monotony in time and learn to enjoy the little things.
Forgetfulness manifests itself not only in old age, but also at a fairly early age. To prevent Alzheimer’s disease, you need to train your memory.
“Train your brain, communicate, be open – all this is very important.
Take a walk, travel, learn new things, watch movies and TV shows that are not only interesting, that can teach you something and are not just a stunning waste of time. Solve crosswords and puzzles.
Movement is also important for the brain. If we move, then we exist.
Three important things: speech, writing, movement.
Many have forgotten what music is and how to enjoy it, and even worse, they don’t want to dance.
Dancing has been shown to prevent the early development of Alzheimer’s disease.
A good night’s sleep should last at least six hours. It cleanses the brain of “garbage”.
Go to bed at 10 pm, turn off the TV and computer an hour or two before bedtime.
Instead, read a book. It will prepare you for a good and peaceful holiday.”
