Today, from the portal search-2.blogspot.com, we will present you 2 recipes for elderberry syrup that are sugar-free and one of them is without boiling.

Sugar-free elderberry syrup

A great, very delicious recipe for sugar-free elderberry syrup.

It is excellent not only for flavoring lemonades, sweets and desserts.

For the healing elderberry syrup we need:

about 35 elderflowers

1.5 l boiled and cooled water

900 ml agave syrup

6 lemons, preferably organic quality

Preparation:

Collect elderflower blossoms in places that are not dusty – ideally away from roads and on a sunny day.

We pick the elderflowers by hand, and in a large bowl we chop only the flowers without the green parts.

Pour water over the flowers so that they are submerged, add lemon slices and cover the container with gauze or a clean cloth.

If you don’t have natural lemons, remove the peels before adding them to the flowers.

Let them sit for at least 24 hours in a dark, cool place.

Then strain the base and squeeze all the juice from the blossoms and lemons and pour them into the saucepan.

Add the agave syrup to the mixture and bring to a boil over low heat and cook for 5 minutes.

Finally, add the lemon juice from the remaining lemons (strain through a strainer)

Then carefully pour the syrup into warm sterilized jars.

Close tightly and let cool completely wrapped in a blanket.

Store in a cool, dark place, and refrigerate after opening.

You don’t have to use elderberry syrup just for lemonades, it’s also an excellent sweetener for cakes and no-bake desserts.

The second recipe for elderberry syrup without boiling and sugar

This syrup does not contain classic white crystal sugar, but birch sugar called Xylitol.

It is not only healthier, but also fantastically delicious.

It lasts for months even without preservatives. This is truly healthy elderberry syrup!

We need:

40-50 large elderflowers

3 liter container

1 whole lemon + 2 squeezed lemons

Sweetener: We recommend Xylitol (birch sugar) 300-500g

1 teaspoon citric acid

Preparation:

We put the elderflowers in the container without rinsing them (we just leave them in the sun for a while so that the bugs can come out).

Dissolve the sweetener and citric acid in 3 liters of water and slice one lemon.

Pour this liquid over the elderflower blossoms so that the blossoms are completely covered.

Add lemon juice and let stand overnight.

The next day, drain and simply store in a container. The syrup will last for months even without preservatives.

Of course, this syrup does not have the same consistency as the classic one with crystal sugar, which is boiled.

But the taste is much purer and more delicate. It is thousands of times healthier than the classic granulated sugar syrup.

We wish you a good appetite! 🙂
