Despite a very short life cycle of about 28 days, flies can literally invade our homes, especially the kitchen, becoming very annoying and dangerous due to the bacteria and other microorganisms they can carry in our food.
The problem of flies inside the home is especially evident during the warmer months, when high temperatures promote their overgrowth.
There are dozens of fly and mosquito repellent sprays in supermarkets, yet they are all packed with chemicals that, although they repel these annoying insects, are harmful to both our health and the environment.
The most well-known and effective remedy to keep flies away from the house and perfume the kitchen is actually completely natural and can be prepared in just a few minutes.
It consists of cutting a lemon in half and inserting a dozen cloves into the pulp. Put the remedy on the windowsill, balcony, or near any other place frequented by flies.
Ideally, you should add a new lemon every day, to make the most of its repellent properties.

Envelopes filled with water. We will have noticed bags filled with water on balconies or windows, and we wondered what they were for. This remedy is an effective natural fly repellent. The reason is simple: when the sun’s rays penetrate the water, they generate a prism that steals hatred.
Apple cider vinegar. To make a fly trap, cut a plastic bottle in half, pour vinegar at the bottom, and then turn the top upside down, like a funnel. The flies, attracted by the vinegar, will enter the bottle and get stuck there.
Aromatic plants . The aroma of certain essential oils and plants such as lavender, mint, lemongrass, basil or eucalyptus have natural repellent properties. Just sprinkle a little essential oil in different parts of the house, or put a few seedlings, to keep flies away.
