The first thing to do is to radically change many of the erroneous behaviors that we usually adopt at home. Even in homes where humidity shouldn’t usually be an issue, you only have to make a few mistakes and find yourself struggling with this non-trivial nuisance.
In fact, in some cases it may be enough to change the furniture in the different rooms to significantly reduce humidity and stop seeing mold on the walls.
In fact, inside our home some furniture may be positioned in a point that does not facilitate the passage of air. This aspect must be taken into account, as ventilation is the best ally to combat the formation of mould.
That is why we should always open the windows frequently, even in the coldest months, and we should always remember to keep the bathroom window open after showering, to avoid the formation of moisture and condensation.
In addition to all these good behaviors, humidity in the home can also be curbed with a simple remedy, i.e. with a solution that allows moisture to be absorbed.
With table salt, the humidity in the house will only be a bad memory
The good news is that anyone can prepare this solution in just a few minutes, as only a few ingredients are needed. The first element needed for this moisture absorber is table salt.
Coarse salt is an excellent dehumidifier
Why do we focus on this ingredient? Table salt has the extraordinary ability to attract water particles that accumulate on the walls. Basically, table salt acts as a dehumidifier, ensuring maximum habitability in the environment in which we live.
All we have to do is take a plastic bottle and cut it in half with a knife. We take a piece of cloth and cover the neck of the bottle, so as not to let the table salt escape.
The next step is to place it upside down inside the bottle, as a funnel, and then proceed to pour the coarse salt inside until the maximum filling is reached.
By doing so, you will have managed to create an effective dehumidifier that you can place in the most humid areas of the house.
