If you have a rose plant on your balcony, or have been given one, and you would like to reproduce them for more, you should know that it is possible to do so starting only from their stem. Roses are some of the most beautiful flowers out there, and they can decorate any area of the house, regardless of its color.
Roses are considered difficult to grow, but from one stem they can reproduce to have many others, making their reproduction virtually infinite. This is an easy job to do, and no gardening experience is required.
Here’s how to make a wonderful collection of roses from the stem.
Step One
The first thing you need to do is identify the ideal place to put the roses. Dig a hole about 6 inches deep and fill it with sand. To choose the right place, follow these tips:
- Don’t place the roses too close together.
- Don’t place roses too close to a wall or under a tree.
- Make sure the roses get air and sun, preferably morning sun.
Step Two
Get some stems or cuttings of roses, which will help us to propagate them and make our garden. The important thing is that the stems are approximately 20-25 centimeters long.
Step Three
This step is as simple as it is important. The stems should be cleaned, removing leaves and impurities, to promote their regeneration.
Step Four
Insert the stems of the roses into the sand, leaving a little space between them. Push the stems deep into the sand so that they are firmly attached.
Step Five
Cover the stems of the roses with fertilized soil and press well with your feet to compact it well.
The job is done: now all that remains is to wait for nature to take its course.
