Rosemary, being a medicinal plant, helps prevent many diseases. Native to the Mediterranean basin, this is recognized as a shrub widely used as a medicinal plant in the hygiene and beauty sectors. It is also very aesthetic and can beautify your home. Today let’s see how to grow it.
You can easily grow rosemary at home by following the directions below.
You need a glass container, rosemary, water, and a pair of scissors. Cut a sprig of rosemary at least 15 cm long diagonally and place it in a glass container filled with water. Remove the leaves and let the sprig rest overnight. Place the container with the branch near a window and fill it with water every day. After a week, you will see the first results in terms of plant growth. However, the best results will be seen later. After 3 weeks, the plant will slowly take root and can even germinate. When the roots are about 15 cm long, it’s time to replant them in a flower pot filled with soil.

Dig a hole in the ground and plant roots in it. If the soil covers leaves, remove them to allow the plant to grow better. This should be exposed to direct light for a few hours. After this daily exposure, however, put it in the shade, because the sun could burn its leaves. It does not need a lot of water, however, it is advisable not to let the soil dry out. Rosemary needs moderate temperatures to grow. It is important to prune it, as its leaves tend to dry out. It also needs organic matter once a year, in spring or autumn. If it is in a pot, you need a pot at least 40 cm deep, as the roots are usually very long. This ensures healthy growth. Also, to harvest this large aromatic plant, you need to cut off the small branches. You can also use those that are starting to dry out.

They can be left to dry in the sun and later used as a condiment to flavor a recipe. Try them also to make a hair or face mask. You won’t regret it.
