Let’s find out what they are together!

Warning: before putting the proposed remedies into practice, make sure that your plants are suitable and cannot be harmed by them, by consulting your trusted gardener or florist .

My dear

It’s not just a sweetener, but so much more! Honey is a precious substance not only for our body, but also for the environment.

It is enough to dissolve a tablespoon in a glass of milk to obtain a compound rich in precious substances for our plants.

Pour some into the soil of your plants to encourage the growth of healthy green leaves . Alternatively, put it in a spray bottle and spray at the base of the plants.

Rice

A really valuable trick to strengthen the plants in our garden: rice.

Simply wash the rice, leaving it in water for a few hours.

Strain the liquid and use it as fertilizer to stimulate flowering and improve plant health.

Red wine

Do you need more fertile soil to plant new seedlings in the warm months? The solution is in a glass of… red wine !

Pouring red wine into the ground enhances its fertility, thanks to the high quality of mineral salts and sulfites.

Obviously don’t overdo it, especially with more alcoholic wines, otherwise you’ll run the risk of killing the buds.

Cinnamon

One of the most beloved spices in the kitchen: cinnamon.

It is enough to spread a handful on the ground to limit the proliferation of fungi and molds in the soil and on plants (especially vegetables).

In addition, it is a natural stimulant that can accelerate the growth of new plants.

Coffee beans

Grandma’s classic remedy: using coffee grounds to feed plants.

It is an infallible remedy to strengthen the plants in our garden.

To make the most of them, take 2 coffee grounds, crumble them with a teaspoon and spread them on the ground around the plant.

Fertilize with this remedy at least once a week.

Be careful, though, because this remedy can only be used for acidophilic plants .

The other plants, due to the alteration of the pH caused by coffee, could even die.

Ash

While deficient in nitrogen, ash contains high concentrations of calcium, copper, zinc, fluorine, and magnesium.

Spread it on the ground to nourish it and obtain healthy and leafy plants .

Note: do not use ashes derived from varnished wood that may contain chemical substances .

Banana peels

Potassium is a key element in obtaining beautiful and long flowers. And what contains more potassium than banana peels?

Simply take a banana peel , break it into small pieces and bury them, one inch deep, in the ground.

Your plants will thank you.

vegetable cooking water

Did you cook some veggies for lunch? Do not throw away the cooking water .

This one, in fact, is packed with nutrients that can be good for your plants.

All you need to do is use it as irrigation water to have healthier and more beautiful plants right away.

Be careful not to use salt water or you will kill your plants!

Eggshell

Plenty of calcium to stimulate the formation of thicker, healthier branches – the eggshell is full of it .

Do it in small pieces and mix them with the soil.

Over the course of a few days, these fragments will biodegrade and release their nutrients.

Nettle macerate

All plants need magnesium, iron, and nitrogen. Nettle macerate has all these elements!

You can prepare it by macerating 100 grams of fresh nettle (or 10 grams of dried nettle) in a liter of water for about 2 weeks.

The water should be rainwater: alternatively, you can use tap water, but let it decant for a few hours so that it loses its volatile substances.

Note: keep the container where the maceration takes place away from bedrooms or the kitchen. The smell of the mash is indeed very strong and annoying.

Also, remember to keep everything at an ideal temperature of about 20 °C : below 10 °C , in fact, the maceration process stops.

Normally, maceration is complete when a layer of foam forms on the surface of the compound.

Then, strain the mixture and use it by watering your plants directly.

The flower season is coming!
