It is common to think that this type of fruit can only be obtained through the greengrocer’s, or perhaps with the luck of having a large green space to grow it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, now we will teach you that it is not essential to have a lot of land to have beautiful watermelons. <\/strong>From home cultivation in small terrariums from its seeds, we will obtain this delicious fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We grow watermelons from the comfort of our own home<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This first part of the cultivation process can be done inside your home and with few elements<\/strong> that will make watermelon a beautiful plant of the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Items needed:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  • Leaf<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Paper towels<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • waterfall<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 2 glasses or saucepans<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • topsoil<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Watermelon seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The step by step:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Place a sheet of aluminum foil<\/strong>\u00a0on the table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. On the foil, place\u00a0a paper towel<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. On top of this napkin we have to put\u00a0the watermelon seeds<\/strong>, quite far from each other, and on top of the whole napkin<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. In this step you have\u00a0to place another napkin on top of the seeds.\u00a0<\/strong>It’s like making a sandwich with napkins and seeds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Now you will proceed to\u00a0pulverize or, failing that, to pour three tablespoons of water on the napkin,<\/strong>\u00a0wetting the paper well in contact with the seeds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Once this action is finished,\u00a0you will wrap everything very well with aluminum foil.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Put your preparation in a warm place<\/strong>, and day by day for the next five days you should open it and check that the napkins are still wet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. After five days, you’ll notice that\u00a0the seeds have begun to germinate.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    9. When you notice that the root of your seeds is just over 1 cm long, it’s time to move on to the second step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    10. In this second step, you will have\u00a0to pierce the two plastic cups or<\/strong>\u00a0jars and put a little soil inside each one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    11. Using a toothpick, you’ll poke holes in each of the\u00a0containers to house the seeds.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    12. Keep in mind that each hole should be deep enough for the entire root of each seed to go in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    13. It’s time to\u00a0place the seeds with their roots inside each hole.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    14. Once this action has been carried out,\u00a0the glass will be covered again with topsoil until one cm is complete.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    15. Be careful that the soil you place and cover the seeds must be previously wet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    16. Now you will leave your glasses or pans near a window, or where they receive a lot of light, but not direct sun.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    17. Let\u00a0this process take place for fifteen days<\/strong>\u00a0and you will see that the very green shoots begin to appear.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    18. It’s time to transplant your watermelons somewhere in your garden, or just a larger pot.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    19. Watermelon plants\u00a0don’t require a lot of depth, they need moisture and clarity.\u00a0<\/strong>A year after transplanting, you will be able to observe the appearance of your first fruits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
