In this post, I will show you step by step how to make this delicious strawberry cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingredients:<br>For the dough:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>250 g flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>125g kalte Butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>80g sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 No<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A pinch of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the vanilla cream:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>500ml milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 egg yolks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>40g corn flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 vanilla pod<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the filling:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>500g fresh strawberries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tbsp strawberry jam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some fresh mint leaves for decoration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare the dough:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sift flour, sugar and salt into a large bowl. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and add to the flour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using your fingertips, work the butter into the flour until the mixture becomes crumbly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the egg and knead everything into a smooth dough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Form the dough into a ball, wrap it in cling film and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat oven:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat the oven to 180\u00b0C (fan oven).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Roll out dough:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Take the dough out of the fridge and roll it out thinly on a floured work surface.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carefully place the dough sheet into a greased springform pan (\u00d8 26 cm) and pull up the edges a little.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prick the dough several times with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake the dough base in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare vanilla cream:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the pulp.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring the milk to the boil in a saucepan, then add the vanilla pulp and let it steep for a short while.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until frothy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the corn flour and mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slowly add the hot milk to the egg yolk mixture, stirring constantly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return the mixture to the pot and allow to thicken over low heat, stirring constantly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the vanilla cream from the heat and let it cool slightly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare strawberries:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wash the strawberries, dry them and halve them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assembling the cake:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the baked dough base.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spread the vanilla cream evenly on the base.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrange the halved strawberries close together on the cream.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completion:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Place the strawberry cake in the fridge for at least 2 hours to allow the vanilla cream to set.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the cake into pieces and enjoy!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Conclusion:<br>A strawberry cake with vanilla cream is not only a feast for the eyes, but also a delight for the palate.
