Clean your iron:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If something melts and sticks to the surface of your iron, rest assured you won’t have to replace it! Set it to the highest temperature, then take a newspaper and sprinkle it generously with salt. Once your iron is hot, place it on the paper and move it back and forth for about 1 minute.  The salt will loosen the residue from your iron so it stays on the paper. <\/strong> This way you will find an iron clean and smooth as new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remove an egg stain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cleaning the surface where you accidentally\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0dropped\u00a0 an\u00a0egg can be a difficult task and require tons of paper towels. All you have to do is apply a good amount of salt to the affected area and leave it for 10-15 minutes.\u00a0The salt will have a coagulating effect and all you have to do is remove your egg with ease.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A burning  pan  is one of the most common accidents on a barbecue afternoon. If so, don’t panic! To prevent the fire from spreading, pour a generous amount of salt directly on the flames  to block the flow of oxygen, which acts as a catalyst. This trick will smother the fire in seconds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Degrease pans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you forgot to turn down the heat under your dinner and all that’s left is sooty bits, cleaning your pan is a pretty harsh punishment. Not anymore! To degrease it and easily remove stuck-on food particles, just cover the inside of your pan completely with a good layer of salt and then add some water.  The salt water will act like a degreaser to remove everything and save you colossal effort. <\/strong> After 10 minutes, all you have to do is rinse off the salt water and clean your utensil as usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Degrease your dishwashing sponge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If  your dishwashing sponge  has become all black and greasy, here’s a simple trick: take a container and fill it with 2 cups of water, then add \u00bc cup of salt and stir to dilute it well. Soak your sponge in this salt water and  leave it overnight so that the salt can degrease and disinfect it. <\/strong> The next morning, all you have to do is wring it out so that all the residue falls off. Now it’s ready for another batch of dishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bathtub drains clogged<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another fairly common problem when cleaning your bathtub is clumps of hair clogging the drain. To avoid clogging your bathtub, mix \u00bc cup of  baking soda  with an equal amount of salt. Pour the mixture directly into the drain. Then pour \u00bd cup of lemon juice over everything. The mixture will be bubbly. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. In the meantime, boil a pot of water and after the mixing time is up, pour the boiling water directly into the drain to rinse away any powder residue.  Bicarbonate is an antibacterial agent that dissolves the most stubborn stains, while lemon gives off a lingering fresh smell.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
