Plants, however, are not only useful aesthetically, but can have real therapeutic benefits on our health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the case of <strong>pothos<\/strong>, a plant whose use is widespread, but whose benefits are mostly unknown. <strong>Pothos<\/strong>, which is mainly used indoors, helps <strong>to improve the air in the home<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Native to Southeast Asia, the pothos is a perennial plant that has been the subject of numerous studies by NASA, which have demonstrated its <strong>purifying properties for indoor environments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pothos helps eliminate three types of toxic substances<\/strong> in the atmosphere, such as <strong>formaldehyde<\/strong> (known to cause cancer and other respiratory conditions), <strong>xylene<\/strong> (causes headaches, nausea, and nervous system problems), and <strong>benzene<\/strong> (causes fatigue, sleepiness, and rapid heartbeat).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These three harmful substances are present in paints, household appliances and solvents, and can also be present in glues used in furniture construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Share article<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Important: This website does not give medical advice, nor does it suggest the use of techniques as a form of treatment for physical problems, for which medical advice is required.
