However, according to a study by the University of Rhode Island (USA), acetylsalicylic acid<\/strong>, i.e. aspirin<\/strong>, is not only useful with cut plants, but can improve their immune system by making them grow more, and stronger<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The researchers dissolved 4 aspirin tablets in 4 liters of water, spraying the solution on a group of plants every 3 weeks. By the end of the season, the aspirin-treated plants had grown more<\/strong> and were stronger, as they were more resistant to microorganisms and fungi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This treatment has proven to be even more effective on nightshade plants such as potatoes and tomatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are various ways to harness the power of aspirin on plants<\/strong>, and below we list the best ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a rooting agent<\/strong>: Soak cuttings for 3-4 hours in distilled water with 1 aspirin. This action acts as a disinfectant, protecting the cuttings from mold and activating growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a growth booster<\/strong>: Dilute 1 aspirin in a liter of water and spray the solution on the plants every 3 weeks. You should not overdo the quantities, as the plant could suffer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To germinate seeds<\/strong>: Soak the seeds in the water-based solution and aspirin before planting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
