As beautiful as they are, they can also be harmful. <\/strong>Every day we find ourselves surrounded by fragrant, colorful and extraordinary species to observe<\/strong>. However, we do not know that behind all this beauty sometimes lies a danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are talking about so-called toxic<\/strong>plants that can make humans or animals seriously ill and, in some cases, even cause death<\/strong>. Poisonous plants are found all over the world. In Italy, there are ten specimens<\/strong> that can be considered the most harmful to health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is very difficult to distinguish a poisonous plant from one that is not<\/strong>. Sometimes they have aesthetic characteristics that are so identical that they can be misleading<\/strong>. It often happens that we end up confusing them and touching them or ingesting the berries<\/strong>, especially children who cannot hold back their curiosity and end up risking their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How to identify a poisonous plant? <\/strong>The answer is quite obvious: you have to know and study the different specimens<\/strong>. Just looking at a plant, unless you’re an expert, it’s virtually impossible to understand whether it’s poisonous or not. <\/strong>Today, we want to tell you about a particular species<\/strong> that is truly a danger. Never bury it. This plant causes heart problems.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Since the dawn of time, plants have been used as a source of nutrition for humans or animals and as a remedy for diseases. <\/strong>Human beings, in the course of their evolution, have come into contact with a multitude of poisonous plants<\/strong>, some of which have proven fatal in several cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The most dangerous species sometimes hide behind a<\/strong> fragrant, beautiful and delicately coloured flower. The toxicity of some plants<\/strong> is nothing more than the need to defend themselves against attacks from the outside world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Evolution has allowed some animals to learn to identify dangerous plants<\/strong> from those that are not and therefore to ingest them to purify their bodies or to stay away from them. The same is not true for human beings who have to study to identify dangerous specimens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Today, we would like to draw your attention to one plant in particular that should never be buried. <\/strong>This is precisely what causes heart problems: this is called oleander. <\/strong>It is a shrubby plant of Mediterranean origin<\/strong> and therefore resistant to heat and drought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It has intense green leaves, colorful flowers and very toxic seeds. <\/strong>It is no coincidence that experts have defined Nerium oleander<\/strong> \u2013 that’s its scientific name \u2013 as the most dangerous plant in the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Don’t think that simply ingesting its seeds<\/strong> can be life-threatening: this plant is toxic in all its parts<\/strong>. If you come into contact with an oleander and accidentally ingest its seeds or leaves, here are the first symptoms you may experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n But it is above all the heart that is affected. <\/strong>Oleander poisoning causes tachycardia, arrhythmias, seizures, and eventually cardiac arrest<\/strong>, which in some cases can be fatal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Although this plant is very dangerous and very toxic, its sale is not prohibited<\/strong>. It is often possible to see it in municipal gardens or in spaces open to the public. The reason?
