Few people know that it is possible to grow tangerines at home, despite the limited space. In any case, it must be taken into account that the height of the mandarin tree can reach two meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to being aesthetically beautiful, mandarin has a very pleasant aroma. Fruits are rich in vitamins C and B, but also in carotene and citric acid. Below, we explain how to grow tangerines in pots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first thing to do is to get some mandarin seeds and wash them well to remove the remains of the pulp of the fruit. It is suggested to take the seeds from a very ripe fruit. Dry the seeds well with paper towels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pot should be about 30 centimetres high, and the soil should be of good quality, i.e. rich in macro and micronutrients. Plant the seeds about 3 centimeters deep, then moisten the soil slightly. The plant will take about 3 to 4 weeks to germinate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Place the pot in a sunny corner of the house. Although it is a tree that is resistant to the cold, it needs a lot of sunlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tangerine plant needs large amounts of water. Don’t forget to ensure good drainage for the plant as well. In the first few weeks, water about 3 times a week, after which you should do it whenever the soil feels dry to the touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
