A&nbsp;<strong>valuable source of vitamin C,<\/strong>&nbsp;their natural acidity also makes them useful for digestion, helping to reduce feelings of bloating. Widespread in the Mediterranean, their ancient origins date back to Asian countries from where they were imported through trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Widely used in cooking, to season dishes, prepare sauces but also desserts, for which the zest is mainly used, not only&nbsp;<strong>lemon seeds, but also peels are among the ingredients always present in homes.&nbsp;<\/strong>And if we usually use the juice, pulp and zest of lemons,&nbsp;<strong>why should we throw away the seeds<\/strong>? Here are a few ways to make the most of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_60856\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imilanesi.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/fette-limone.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-60856\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you&#8217;re done using the lemon,&nbsp;<strong>set the seeds aside and rinse them thoroughly<\/strong>&nbsp;with room temperature water using a colander. Then run them over a paper towel and dry them well. Then equip yourself with tweezers and start &#8220;peeling&#8221; the seeds, removing the skin that covers them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then take a small container like a yogurt pot and fill it with damp cotton pad.&nbsp;<strong>Place the seed in the cotton pad and let it sit for at least a week<\/strong>. After about 7 days, the seed will have given way to a small shoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continue to keep the cotton and the environment moist to grow your little sprout more until it has developed small roots. At this point, you will need&nbsp;<strong>to plant your seed in a small pot inside which you will need to insert a mixture of soil and perlite<\/strong>&nbsp;, to ensure that the soil is well-drained. Once planted, the shoot will still need care. It should be stored in a well-lit, warm place but away from drafts. Make sure the soil is always moist and wait for nature to do its job to have a lemon tree that, when grown, will give you juicy fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Make a perfumer<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lemon seeds are not only used to grow new plants. Among other things,&nbsp;<strong class=\"\">it is possible to create a perfumer for drawers and cabinets<\/strong>. The primary procedure still requires flushing the seeds but without removing the skin. Despite washing, citrus seeds retain their natural fragrance for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\" id=\"attachment_60858\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imilanesi.nanopress.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/limone-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-60858\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can then&nbsp;<strong class=\"\">place them in a small canvas bag<\/strong>&nbsp;and choose to use them to perfume drawers, cabinets or rooms in the house such as the bathroom. Attached to the radiator in winter, they will give off a delicious lemony scent.
