Tomatoes grow in clusters and a good tomato garden setup could easily allow you to produce more tomatoes than you can eat yourself. Cherry tomatoes will produce the most tomatoes but not the highest yield by weight. Tomatoes of the Black Mammoth or Beefsteak variety produce a lot of fruit, but not as much as some of the smaller varieties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Medium-sized tomatoes tend to be the best producers. Varieties such as Ace, Lemon, Early Girl, Champion, and Celebrity produce fruit early in the season and continue to bloom throughout the summer, ultimately yielding more than any other plant in the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expect to see between 4 and 8 kg of fruit per plant with these tomato cultivars each season. In particularly good seasons, you may see up to 9 kg of fruit per tomato plant. Even if you make plenty of sauce and spaghetti sauce to use year-round, just a few plants should give you more tomatoes than you can eat yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cucumbers<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Cucumbers, especially climbing varieties, are known to produce fruit in abundance. If you’re canning your cucumbers or growing them in large quantities to share with family or neighbors, climbing varieties are the way to go. If you don’t need a ton of cucumbers, you can try creeping varieties, which produce far fewer fruits per growing season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can grow quite a few cucumbers in a small space, as long as you have a vertical trellis or structure for them to climb. Just three or four plants should produce 5 kg of cucumbers per season. By the time bush beans have finished harvesting, white beans will be ready to overwhelm your bean supply for the rest of the growing season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If growing conditions are right, potatoes and sweet potatoes can grow underground en masse. Plant the potatoes after the last spring thaw, between March and April. Place the plants in 3 m rows, placing seeds or seedlings at a distance of 30-45 cm. Each row will give you around 12 kg of potatoes per season, depending on the variety you grow and the conditions you provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Place your potatoes in a loose, soft soil mixture that allows the plant’s roots to penetrate easily and form a path through the light soil. Keep the soil moist but not soggy and water regularly by hand after the plants have bloomed to ensure they will have what they need to produce the next set of potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are many ideas for storing potatoes (besides leaving them directly in the ground) that could be a great solution for gardeners who have small garden areas but need large harvests. Potatoes can be grown loose between the layers of a pile of old popsicles or even inside an old trash can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yellow summer squash and green zucchini are vegetable varieties with simple care requirements and large yields. If you have space in your garden, even winter squash crops can provide a high yield. It’s much safer to plant these vegetables with a vertical stand so they have something to lean on when they climb. The extra support will give them the space and security to produce a bountiful harvest without taking up too much valuable garden area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sow zucchini three or four times during the season so that a fresh crop is ready to increase production when the previous harvest begins to wane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Having plenty of zucchini and squash plants will also help with overall pollination in your garden. New zucchini plants begin to produce many male flowers first, but eventually the plants will begin to produce male and female flowers, both of which must open simultaneously for the plants to produce fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re growing for your daily consumption, you probably have a fairly large space. If you have a lot of extra space in the garden to work with, why not dedicate some space to onions, especially spring onions? Cut off the green tips and use the stems as you would scallions in the kitchen, then watch how quickly the sprouts sprout for harvest. Spring onions require virtually no effort, other than the harvesting process itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Plant okra in the heat of the summer months, from late May through June, and you should get more okra in return for what you know what to do with it. Harvest your production early and often, as this will help increase the harvest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Okra is one of the biggest yielders you can choose to grow, which means that your plants may well require harvesting more than once a week. More testing is needed, but early studies have shown that okra production increases during long warm periods and the plants grow even faster during the July monsoon rains, so you’ll want to harvest as often as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It only takes 45 days to grow radishes until they are ready for harvest. After harvesting, you have the option to regrow more radishes or plant something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These easy-to-root and grow vegetables can be planted several times per season in a sunny location, and radishes are hardy in almost any growing region, including regional. The only thing is that radish won’t stand up to too much heat, so stop planting radish seedlings when summer starts to get really hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All kinds of hot peppers, including jalape\u00f1o, tabasco, serrano, etc., are many producers.
